Every morning I get up around 6:30 and head to the gym. I usually do about forty-five minutes of cardio (today I only went for 30). During those 45 minutes I normally read a book or watch TV. However, I constantly have to find new books to read and the news on TV is so depressing. That is why I could not wait to get my Samsung Q1. Yesterday I customized it with movies, music and games. Then today I headed to the gym.
Upon getting there I put my bags in the locker, grabbed my Q1 and headed for the Stairmaster Stepmill. I jumped on the Stepmill and selected my workout program. The Q1 fit perfectly in the magazine rack and it completely covered the display area so I did not have to stare at the countdown timer.
I started off by playing a quick game of Spider (I beat the game in 126 moves, is that good or not?). It actually worked out pretty well; I think that I prefer playing spider with touch instead of using the mouse. I felt like I had a lot more control of where the cards were dropped (sometimes when I use a mouse, the cards get dropped on the wrong set). After conquering Spider, I played a quick round of Hexic. Hexic was a little more difficult to play while going on the Stepmill. It required a lot of concentration, because moving the small pieces was difficult while working-out which caused me to trip on the Stepmill often.
After almost going face first in to the Stepmill I decided it would be best if I tried something new. So I played “Rumor Has It”, which I downloaded from Movielink last night. The movie looked great on the Q1 and in no time the Stepmill came to a stop and I had completed my workout. All in all, using the Q1 for my entertainment while doing cardio worked out very well. I am not sure how it will work on some of the other cardio machines though (the ones where you bounce more – such as a treadmill). I will have to try that another day.
